The Foundation and Legacy Gifts

The Foundation supports the church through legacy funds from estates, wills, and individual donors given to St. Martin’s. The funds are then invested in the PIF (Pooled Investment Fund) managed by investment managers hired by the Diocese. The PIF uses a conservative approach directed by the Investment Committee of the Diocese. Each year the Foundation gives 5% of the PIF investment return for the annual operating budget. The Vestry determines how those funds are best used as operating capital.
