FAith In Action - Day of service

Please  join us at 9:am on Sunday the 8th as we worship, share a meal and help our neighbors during our annual Summer Sunday to Serve.

We'll worship inside the sanctuary at 9 am and then join the Faith in Action Ministry team as we fill backpacks with school supplies, personal care packages and healthy snack bags for local school children.

We invite you to bring a donation of a new backpack -- we'll have all the other items ready to go!
BBQ lunch prepared by our Brother's & Sister's of St. Martin's will be served after the backpacks are filled.
It's sure to be a wonderful Sunday so please mark your calendars and join us August 8th at 9am!  No online worship on this day.

Getting Involved at St. Martin's

The best way to meet people and integrate into a community is to get involved. We do acknowledge that not everyone wants another community to be active in, some wish to worship with us...and that's it. Wonderful. We also know that some people need to roll up their sleeves and do something to be part of a community. Know that we lead with conversation. Before we put you to work we want to know who you are. Below are a few places to start.

  • summer book group - led by Rev. Deacon Mary Farr

“America’s Original Sin,” a Spirit-led Truth telling Book Discussion

Join Rev. Deacon Mary Farr and fellow parishioners in a discussion on the book.  Meets Thursday at 6pm in the upper parking lot of the Church.

  • Altar candles

Sponsor the candles on the altar. Please consider making a donation to honor a loved one, celebrate a birthday or anniversary. Your donation will be noted the Sunday of your choice in our service.  You can sign up for a Sunday here through Sign-Up Genius.

  • freezer friends

Be part of our Freezer Friends Team that provides an entree. These meals will be shared with members facing difficult circumstances such as recovering from surgery, hospitalization, medical treatments, and more. For more information contact Karen in the office.

  • faith in action

Faith in Action is our service committee. Connecting with our community partners and working together is an important part of who we are at St. Martin's. Please contact Rev. Cindy Hillger for more information.

  • Volunteering and Safe Church

We have a host of other ministries as well, but these require that we get to know you a bit better. Ministries involving children or youth, visiting people, Lay Reading, serving on a committee, or participating in worship. This is because we are a certified "Safe Church". Safe church is how we make sure that St. Martin's remains a safe space for everyone. If you are interested in one of these ministries please contact MerLynne Byrne.
